Sparking Creativity Workshop

ONE-DAY (6 hours)*

Our imagination, creativity, and playfulness are all reflections of God in us. What could the Church become if we were able to tap into a Spirit-inspired imagination? What if we used our creative nature to enrich His Church? What if the Church's relationship with God was a playful, joyous one? During this workshop, you'll receive:

  • A theological foundation of creativity

  • Creativity training and tools to use with teams in your local context

  • An introduction to the i2 process, a creativity process that moves individuals and teams from imagination to innovation.

With so much change, Church leaders are tired, anxious and out of ideas. We need new skills for innovating creative solutions when faced with unexpected challenges. This workshop will equip you and your team to unleash your God-given creativity.

Design Sprint

ONE-DAY (8 hours)*

Once your team has completed the ‘Sparking Creativity Workshop’, the Design Sprint Day will give you and your team the confidence needed to apply the principles from the workshop by working through a design challenge together.

Our facilitators will present a realistic design challenge to your team, and will guide you through the i2 process to help you understand how to apply the methods and principles in real time and with others.

We will end the day with presenting low-fidelity prototypes, showcasing each team's ability to translate high-level or complex design concepts into tangible and testable artifacts.

i2 Accelerator

4-5 MONTH HYBRID COHORT JOURNEY FOR TEAMS*

The i2 Process was developed to help translate what the world's top product design companies are using to solve complex challenges in today's world, for the sake of the Church. In studying Design Thinking, we saw that the first step, developing 'empathy' for your end user, is a distinctly Christian approach to problem-solving that Christians should embrace and claim. The incarnation of Jesus is our model for building empathy for those we serve.

So, we expanded the traditional 'Design Thinking' process and rooted it theologically and in Scripture, in order to help ministry teams have a concrete method for problem-solving and innovation.

From the simplest of challenges to the most complex, the i2 process will:

  • Allow all team members to understand what creativity is and embrace their individual and team capacities

  • Change the way your team approaches problem solving (including how you brainstorm, communicate ideas, launch new initiatives, and more)

  • Give your team a consistent, inclusive tools and strategies for each step of the i2 process when creating new or enhancing existing ministries into the future

*Can be conducted in person or virtually
