INCARNATIONAL INNOVATION [i2]
In studying Design Thinking, we saw that the first step, developing 'empathy' for your end user, is a distinctly Christian approach to problem-solving that Christians should embrace and claim.The incarnation of Jesus is our model for building empathy for those we serve. So, we expanded the traditional 'Design Thinking' process and rooted it theologically and in Scripture, in order to help ministry teams have a concrete method for problem-solving and innovation.
DIGITAL MISSION & MINISTRY
Today’s digital world gives us constant access to endless information and all sorts of people. But it also can bring new complications to churches working to help people connect to God and each other. The skills necessary to help you develop a digital approach to mission and ministry are vital both now and into the future. Our forthcoming training offerings will provide you with a vision of how regular congregations can minister and the tools to help you gather and form disciples in and for our hyper-connected world.
CONGREGATIONAL TRANSFORMATION
At the core of the Center for Remissioning is a deep concern for congregational transformation and renewal through a process of awakening and practically focusing the efforts of the congregation on the Great Commission. By engaging the immediate context a transformation is catalyzed from the outside-in. Where previous attempts at ministry vitality often involve internal adjustments (better preaching, better coffee, better outreach, better programs, etc.) the Center for Remissioning involves an outside-in approach. As we join what the Spirit is up to in our communities, by the effective exercise of the necessary skills, strategies, and spiritual capacities for the place we find ourselves, the congregation experiences positive transformation.
